Communicate your expertise with confidence — even when the pressure is on.
Communication coaching for global professionals who use English at work and want to speak with clarity, confidence and authority in high-stakes moments
You know what you want to say. So why does it disappear when you need it most?
You’re experienced.
You’re knowledgeable.
You’ve succeeded in your career.
But then:
You enter a high-stakes meeting and your mind goes blank.
You over-explain because you’re trying to make sure you’re understood.
You speak faster than you want to.
You leave conversations thinking, “That wasn’t how I wanted to express myself.”
This isn't simply an English problem.
It's what happens when pressure changes how you access and communicate your expertise.
Your English isn't the problem
Most professionals I work with already have strong English skills.
The challenge is being able to access those skills when:
the stakes are high
decisions need to be made
you are communicating complex ideas
you feel evaluated
At Leading in English, we look beyond language.
We explore what happens in your brain under pressure and build practical strategies that help you communicate with confidence in real workplace situations.
The Access Method™
A science-informed approach to helping you communicate under pressure.
1. Realise
Understand your communication patterns and what happens when pressure takes over.
2. Recover
Learn how to reset in the moment when your mind goes blank, speed increases, or confidence drops.
3. Refocus
Develop strategies that help you organise your thoughts and access your expertise.
4. Respond
Communicate your ideas clearly, confidently and authentically.

Practical, real-time tools to use immediately

personalised strategies to help you respond differently
No ongoing commitment. Just clarity, and something you can use.
Our Services
8 weeks, 1:1
For professionals ready to change the pattern — not just get through the next high-stakes moment.
Over 8 weeks, we'll go deep into your specific pressure response, build a full toolkit to interrupt it in real time, and work until accessing your expertise under pressure starts to feel automatic — not something you have to fight for every time.
What's included:
8 x 60-Minute 1:1 Strategy Sessions (Via Zoom, recorded for your review).
Private WhatsApp Audio Support – Direct access to your coach for real-time feedback before big meetings or presentations.
Custom Toolkits & Frameworks – Bespoke phrasing banks, scripting templates, and cognitive performance toolkits.
A structured approach based on The Access Method
Real-time tools practiced against your actual high-stakes moments — meetings, presentations, stakeholder conversations
How it works:
This program is by application. After you apply, we'll set up a 30-minute call to talk through what you're facing and make sure this is the right fit before we begin.
This is for you if you're ready to stop losing your expertise to pressure — for good, not just for one meeting.
No pressure. No hard sell. Just a conversation to see if this is the right next step.
About Me
I founded Leading In English to address a challenge I repeatedly observed: highly capable professionals often have the expertise, preparation, and knowledge they need — but struggle to access and communicate that expertise when pressure rises.
Through The ACCESS Method, I help global professionals understand their communication pressure patterns, recognise what is happening cognitively in high-stakes moments, and develop practical strategies to communicate complex ideas with greater clarity.
My work focuses on the moments where communication matters most:
• Client conversations
• High-stakes meetings
• Presentations
• Stakeholder discussions
• Unexpected questions and challenges
I've seen this from both sides — as someone who's learned a second language myself, and worked across a background spanning healthcare, higher education, and bilingual teaching in Bogotá. I stay closely connected to the research on what's happening in the brain under pressure, and I'm currently learning further studies in neuroscience to deepen that further.
That's the work I do now: helping global professionals access the expertise they already have, exactly when it matters most.
How it works
1. Book a call
A short conversation to understand what's happening for you and whether this is the right fit.
2. Choose your path
T he Audit for immediate clarity and tools, or the Intensive for deeper, lasting change.
3. Do the work
Understand your specific pressure response, build the tools, practice them in real scenarios.
4. Show up differently
Walk into meetings, presentations, and stakeholder conversations able to access your expertise when it counts.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
No. If your English is already functional — which it usually is — more grammar or vocabulary work won't solve a pressure response. This work addresses what happens in your brain under pressure, not your language ability.
-
This work is most effective for professionals whose English is already strong enough to communicate clearly — the barrier is what happens under pressure, not day-to-day fluency.
-
Confidence coaching often focuses on mindset. This work starts with understanding the specific mechanism — what's happening in your brain under pressure — and builds practical, real-time tools from there, not just a mindset shift.
-
We discuss your current communication challenges, your goals, and whether coaching would be a good fit. It’s informal and no obligation.
-
No — I'll explain what's relevant in plain language. You don't need a background in the science, just an interest in understanding what's happening and fixing it.
-
For multilingual professionals using English in international teams who want to communicate more clearly and confidently in high-stake pressured moments (meetings, presentations, answering curveball questions, leadership situations, etc)
